Evidence & education
Understand the why behind everyday wellness.
NRWF is building a clear, practical library that connects wellness education with credible original sources and real-world next steps.
Evidence matters here.
NRWF is committed to credible, responsible, evidence-supported wellness education. We provide original sources whenever possible, prioritize research and government or academic sources such as the VA, USDA, CDC, and NIH, and clearly distinguish established evidence from emerging evidence, lived experience, and organizational perspective. This standard applies to our nutrition education, resource development, PiP materials, and future Sit for Supper episodes.

Learning matters most when it leads somewhere. NRWF's Military Resource Guide is being built to connect the military community with real ways to participate: grow, fish, hunt, farm, homestead, forage, cook, preserve, and get outside.
The guide is in development.
It is being designed to grow nationally, with filtering by activity, location, military status, cost, and accessibility. Know an organization that belongs in it?
Tell us about itPlain-language education
Resources will make complex topics easier to understand without overstating what evidence can show.

Published articles will include a dedicated Sources & References section.
Original sources first
Where appropriate, resources will link to organizations such as the VA, USDA, CDC, NIH, and peer-reviewed research.
